libbot-basicbot-perl software package provides simple irc bot baseclass, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbot-basicbot-perl
libbot-basicbot-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbot-basicbot-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbot-basicbot-perl *
You will get with libbot-basicbot-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
